Accessory: Laminar Flow Nozzle Kit

Accessory -LFK Laminar Flow Nozzle Kit is available to increase the flow rate of Whitehall Best-Care® Faucet while providing a Laminar Flow in lieu of the standard Multi-stream Spray. Three different flow rate nozzles are provided to meet requirements in different locales. For example, some local codes specify a lower flow rate for water conservation purposes, whereas others may require a higher flow rate to meet requirements that specify it for more effective handwashing. The Kit includes a spanner wrench to remove existing nozzle and three different laminar flow nozzle replacements providing:

• 1.2 gallons (4.54 liters) per minute (pink band)
• 1.5 gallons (5.68 liters) per minute (green band)
• 1.75 gallons (6.62 liters) per minute (light blue band)

Laminar flow means: Fluid particles move in parallel layers. Each layer has a constant velocity and is in relative motion to its neighbor. There is very low-flow velocity in comparison to aerated streams. This provides a crystal clear, solid stream of water with no splash, improved wetting ability, excellent cohesion, softness, low velocity.

Laminar flow is achieved by: Arresting the kinetic energy at the faucet’s discharge point down to less than 4 feet (1.22 meters) per second, directing the water through precisely engineered and perforated plates within the faucet flow control.
